In early 2006, whilst exhibiting one of my local Model Railway Club's layouts several members of the public enquired where
they could obtain the trees and shrubs used on the layout. They seemed genuinely surprised to learn that with
a few minor exceptions all the trees had been made using materials that were available totally free and with only a small
amount of effort.
Several questions were also raised concerning how some of the scenic effects on the layout were achieved. This
set me thinking that perhaps there was a need for a small demonstration stand, to pass on some of our ideas and methods to
other interested modellers.
There the matter was left until late in 2007 when the club was approached by an exhibition organiser from other
model railway club to see if we were prepared to demonstrate our methods at their forthcoming show.
This again set me thinking about the idea and resulted in setting up a small demonstration stand and web site, which
is primarily intended for exhibition organisers.
In due course this site will be expanded to include more photographs together with detailed descriptions of the
method of construction. In the mean time if visitors would like to lear more then please come and visit
us at an exhibition in the near future. we would be very pleased to see you and share our ideas.
